Do not keep the photos in a tin box affect the photos?

I bought a new tin box. For something new to me, actually harvest … I was thinking of keeping the images in it .. may be adversely affected?

That is possibly the worst place. The silver in the photos to react the metal box is very likely … I'd be concerned about condensation on the metal. It is likely that sooner or later will end up with ruined attached pictures. Find a box or an album designed to hold photos. Search free acid at least.
